Enzymatic process for conversion of preproinsulin to insulin

<p>A process for the specific hydrolysis of the amino-acid chain of preproinsulins to give the corresponding intermediates with the aid of clostripain is described, and these intermediates can be converted where appropriate with carboxypeptidase B into the corresponding insulins.</p>
