Te combustion compoments of the smoking products are produced by continuous extrusion of the blend until the preselected form is attained, continuously enveloping the extruded mixture by a layer of material for the formation of an enveloped small tube or a composite element, preferably connecting the combustion element and the layer of material. The composite element is cut in preset lengths which are used in assemblying the smoking products.
