SOLUTION: In the feedback control of the cylinder (1) of an engine, the control coefficient is changed depending on the lean side or rich side than the target air-fuel ratio of the whole engine. The control coefficients PRL', IRL' during the lean set operation are set smaller than the control coefficients PRL, IRL during the normal operation, and the control coefficient tRL' during the lean set operation is set larger than the control coefficient tRL during the normal operation. The increase/decrease widthΔQ' of the fuel feed quantity during the lean set operation becomes smaller than that during the normal operation, the increase/decrease width of the fuel injection quantities of the cylinders (2)-(6) increased or decreased in response to the increase/decrease widthΔQ' becomes smaller than that during the normal operation, and the fluctuation of the engine revolving speed can be suppressed.
