PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the boundary of an intended tissue in ultrasonic image processing by setting learning windows on a plurality of mutually different texture areas, and setting a reference for calculating similarity from the distribution of texture characteristic quantities of the learning window within a characteristic space. SOLUTION: A probe control part 11 drives an ultrasonic probe 1 so as to perform the three-dimensional scanning of a subject. On the other hand, an ultrasonic observation device 12 successively forms a plurality of continued ultrasonic tomographic images from the echo signal of the subject, and successively outputs them to a tomographic image monitor 13 and a textural property diagnostic device 14. A learning window for gaining learning data of texture area is set on the ultrasonic tomographic image, and a texture characteristic quantity is calculated as learning data from the learning window. Further, a judgment window is moved on the ultrasonic tomographic image and successively set. In this case, learning windows are set on a plurality, of different texture areas. The reference for calculating similarity is set by the distribution of texture characteristic quantities within the characteristic space. |
