PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a prime mover at the time of a vehicle being in a stop state and an occupant leaving the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the case of specified time having elapsed after a vehicle is stopped and no occupant is considered to be in the vehicle, driving of an engine 4 is stopped. Accordingly, when an occupant leaves the vehicle with key left on, even if the charge rate of a battery 1 becomes lower than the specified value, the engine 4 is not driven, nor is charge by a generator 5 performed. As a result, even when the vehicle is parked with the key left on, the continuous driving of the engine 4 and the continuous exhaust of exhaust gas are eliminated so as to prevent the useless fuel consumption and unnecessary exhaust of exhaust gas. |
