PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope protection drainage material which is provided with two functions which protect the surface of a slop and drain water by bonding fibers serving as a main body with binder fibers and consisting of fiber blocks whose thickness, bulky density and water permeable coefficients exceed a specific value. SOLUTION: After a slope protection drainage material mixes main body fibers with binder fibers, thereby forming a web, a binder component of the binder fibers is molten by way of a heat treatment device, thereby forming a fiber block bonded with the fibers comprising the main body. Then, when the slope protection drainage material 1 is used as a slope protection drainage material 1, the thickness of the material is set to 10mm and over so as to prevent a filling material from being broken by an earth pressure and blowing out. Then, the bulky density of the slope protection drainage material 1 is specified to range from 0.15 to 0.6g/cm<3> but when the bulky density fails to satisfy the aforesaid value which ranges from 0.15 to 0.6g/cm<3> , the material can be easily broken down and it is improper. The water permeable coefficient of the slope protection drainage material is specified to be at least 1×10<-3> cm/sec. If the value is less than 1×10<-3> cm/sec, the drainage effect is small as the slope protection drainage material.
