PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb like filter and heater having efficiency more than that of a conventional exhaust gas filter and fitted to heat generating properties or the collection of fine particles by using recrystallized SiC having a specific average pore radius, voids, cell wall thickness and a specific resistance value. SOLUTION: A recrystallization SiC honeycomb like filter and heater for a deodorizing apparatus is obtained by using recrystallized SiC wherein an average pore radius is 15-40μm, voids are 30-60%, cell wall thickness is 0.3-1.0mm and specific resistance is 0.1-5Ωcm. Generally, in a recrystallization SiC honeycomb shape, it is difficult to reduce cell wall thickness but it is essential to reduce cell wall thickness in order to obtain a predetermined resistance value in a honeycomb shape. Generally, a specific resistance value tends to become low in the recrystallization SiC honeycomb shape. Then, in order to make a honeycomb body thin and to adjust a specific resistance value, 0.05-5 pts. of amorphous boron is added as a B-compd. to adjust resistance. |
