PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material having heat resistance in a degree enabling thermal lamination by providing a recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a specific aminobenzenesulfonamide derivative being a coupler reacting with the dye precursor to form a color on a support. SOLUTION: A thermal recording material is formed by laminating a recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a compd. represented by formula (wherein X is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R is a phenyl group, a naphthyl group, an aralkyl group, a 1-6C lower alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or a 1-6C lower alkenyl group, Z is a 1-6C alkyl group or an electron withdrawing group, n is an integer of 0-3 and p is an integer of 2-5 to satisfy n+p<=5) being a coupler on a support. This thermal recording material can be recorded by a thermal head and has characteristics reducing the development of a ground color even in thermal environment of about 120-140 deg.C. |
