PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce machining cost and material cost and improve durability against vibration or the like by jointing a case body, fitted to an internal combustion engine, to a fitting member by caulking, and providing a cutout part for preventing the tip of a caulking part from being cracked at the time of caulking. SOLUTION: A housing 41 and a fitting member 21 are set to a jig 100 and pressed by another jig 101 from above to bend a cylindrical part 4b of the housing 41 onto the peripheral side of a hole 2. The housing 41 is thereby fixed to the fitting member 21 by caulking. The housing 41 is thus fixed to the fitting member 21 in such a way that an edge part 2x of a circular hole 2a of the fitting member 21 is held by the caulking part 4x of the housing 41. The cylindrical part 4b is provided with a cutout part so as to prevent the generation of a crack to a tip part at the time of extending the tip of the cylindrical part circumferentially at the time of caulking. A case body can thereby be jointed to the fitting member at a low cost without needing expensive equipment, and sufficient reliability can be obtained.
|
