REGENERATION OF GLASS SUBSTRATE HAVING LIGHT-SHUTTING CHROMIUM LAYER AND USED FOR COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a reusable glass substrate from a color filter having an defective light-shutting chromium layer in a state having a light-shutting chromium layer-laminated state or in a wholly thin film-removed state in response to the defective state of the color filter. SOLUTION: The defective product of a color filter having a light-shutting layer is treated by a method containing the following steps (A)-(C) to regenerate the product into a glass substrate for the color filter having the light-shutting chromium layer. (A) A step of immersing the defective color filter in an acidic hydrochloric acid aqueous solution. (B) A step of immersing the color filter treated in the step (A) in the mixture liquid of an aminoalcohol or aminoalcohol with a polar solvent. (C) A step of scrubbing the color filter treated in the process (B) with a brush.
