PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deodorizing nonwoven fabric bearing voluminousness even with low basis weight, by laminating a deodorizing fiber web with a thermofusible fiber web followed by hot press bonding. SOLUTION: A wet spinning is conducted to produce acrylic fibers; and prior to drying, the fibers are immersed in an aqueous solution of an amino group-contg. compound such as polyethyleneimine to produce such acrylic deodorizing fibers as to include the above compound in an embedded state inside the fibers. A web comprising the acrylic deodorizing fibers is then laminated with a thermofusible fiber web comprising sheath-core type conjugate fibers composed of polypropylene as core and polyethylene as sheath in a cross lay system and the resultant laminate is subjected to hot press bonding using a bonding device made up of an embossing roll and a flat roll, thus obtaining the objective deodorizing nonwoven fabric <=100 (pref. 20-100, more pref. 40-80)g/m<2> in basis weight. |
