摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce ε-caprolactam of quality not inferior to that of a conventional product at a low cost by using cyclohexene as a raw material. SOLUTION: Methylcyclopentanones contained in cyclohexanone used for reaction with hydroxylamine are regulated to <=400ppm in the method for producing ε-caprolactam by converting cyclohexanol obtained by the hydrating reaction of cyclohexene into cyclohexanone by dehydrogenating reaction, then reacting the resultant cyclohexanone with hydroxylamine, providing cyclohexanone oxime and further carrying out the Beckmann rearrangement of the prepared cyclohexanone oxime.
