PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grease composition useful for a universal joint including a constant-velocity joint (CVJ) of an automobile, etc., a constant-speed gear, a speed change gear, etc., excellent in friction and wear characteristics. SOLUTION: This grease composition comprises a base grease, (A) one or more molybdenum amino compounds obtained by reacting (i) an oxymolybdenum dithiocarbamate sulfide expressed by formula I (R<1> to R<4> are each a hydrocarbon; X<1> is O or S), an oxymolybdenum dithiophosphate sulfide of formula II (R<5> to R<8> are each a hydrocarbon; X<2> is O or S) and a hexavalent molybdenum compound with (ii) an amino compound of formula III (R<9> and R<10> are each H or a hydrocarbon with the proviso that R<9> and R<10> are not H at the same time) and (B) (i) a (poly)oxyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ether compound of formula IV (R<11> and R<12> are each H or a hydrocarbon with the proviso that R<11> and R<12> are not H at the same time: (n) is 1-10) and/or (ii) a (poly)oxyalkylene glycol monoalkyl ether compound of the formula R<13> O-(R<14> -O-)m H (R<13> is a hydrocarbon; R<14> is an alkylene; (m) is 1-10). |
