SOLUTION: This vehicle dynamic characteristic control device is provided with a vehicle speed sensor 42, a steering angle sensor 40, and a neutral position sensor 41. The conditions for detecting the neutral position of a steering wheel 3 are set at each prescribed time or at each time when the travel distance detection value becomes the prescribed travel distance while the rotating angle detection value of the steering wheel 3 is within the prescribed neutral range and the rotating angle detection value is within the prescribed rotating angle range. The neutral position of the steering wheel 3 is detected when the conditions are set, and the practical steering angle of the steering wheel 3 is detected from the neutral position detection value and the rotating angle detection value. The control quantity for controlling the dynamic characteristic of a vehicle is calculated based on the steering angle detection value.
