In an ambodiment of the present invention, a method to produce useful articles from ground complete waste tires is disclosed which includes the steps of continuously extruding a heated mixture of ground complete waste tire and a thermoplastic binding material in a continuously cooled open end casting chamber. The apparatus to carry out this embodiment includes an extruder, a transition nozzle having a predetermined transversal section of the useful article, and a casting chamber being manufactured and arranged so as to remove thermic energy from an inner surface of the casting chamber.
