RADIO TRANSMITTER FOR ATM CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fluctuation in cell delay between cell streams generated and reproduced between a transmitter side and a receiver side without increasing the transmission band by extracting only an ATM information cell at a radio terminal equipment and sending the cell through a radio channel. SOLUTION: At first a transmitter side ATM cell separate circuit 11 extracts only ATM information cell having significant information and a transmission circuit 13 sends the extracted cell. In this case, when no ATM information cell is not in existence within an observation time specified in a reference timing generated by a reference timing generating circuit 12, a dummy cell is inserted and the speed is converted into a prescribed speed. Only an ATM information cell having the significant information is extracted again by an ATM cell separate circuit 15 and stored in a buffer of an output circuit 17. An ATM idle cell insert circuit 18 calculates position information for the reproduction to a storage information cell and the outputted from the circuit 17. In this case, when the ATM information cell is not in existence in the observation time specified in the reference timing from the circuit 16, an idle ATM cell is inserted and the resulting cell is outputted.
