PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remotely controlled photodetector having excellent sensibility in spite of a small shape, in which shielding by a metallic case is unnecessitated. SOLUTION: A photodetector 10 receiving light from a communication device transmitting data by light and processing a signal consists of a semiconductor chip 11 for light receiving composed of a light-receiving element formed under first manufacturing conditions and a buffer circuit for molding the output waveform of the light-receiving element and a semiconductor chip 12 for signal processing being formed under second manufacturing conditions, receiving voltage from the semiconductor chip 11 for receiving light and generating digital data, and the semiconductor chip 11 for light receiving and the semiconductor chip 12 for signal processing are housed in one package. |
