<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device allowed to be directly connected to a production facility for a different vendor and capable of executing fault diagnosis for a production facility operated at a high speed without delaying its diagnosis by providing the device with an I/O device capable of directly accessing a multi-vendor network. SOLUTION: This fault diagnostic device is composed of a fault diagnostic circuit 11 and a communication interface circuit 12 for inputting/outputting information from/to a multi-vendor network connected to production facilities. The circuit 12 is composed of a CPU 6, a RAM 7, an SIO controller 8, and a 2-port RAM 5. In such a constitution, the information of each production facility from the network 14 is received by a MODEM 9 and the SIO controller 8 and decoded by the CPU 6 and the decoded information is stored in the RAM 5. A CPU 2 in the circuit 11 reads out the information stored in the RAM 5 and executes fault diagnosis.</p> |
