<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of preventing the deterioration caused by a movable ion in substrate materials and whose opening ratio is high, and also to provide a liquid crystal display device manufacturing method capable of efficiently obtaining the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a thin-film transistor as a switching element, and the thin film transistor is provided with a gate insulating film 15-1 formed above a 1st substrate 11, a gate wire 16-1 formed on the gate insulating film 15-1, an auxiliary capacitance insulating film formed above the 1st substrate 11 and the auxiliary capacitance wire 16-2 formed on the auxiliary capacitance insulating film. The gate insulating film 15-1 is made thicker than the auxiliary capacitance insulating film.</p> |
