<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an effect of a surge voltage from affecting a display area when the surge voltage is applied to a feeding electrode pad of a signal line and an address line. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device is provided with plural pixels 40 arranged in matrix, and a thin film transistor 43 is arranged on each pixel 40. For optionally selecting respective pixels 40, the address lines 41 and the signal lines 42 are arranged, and the thin film transistors 43 are arranged on these intersected points. The signal line 42 is grounded through a surge voltage protective means 48 between the feeding electrode pad of the signal line 42 and the thin film transistor 43, and the surge voltage protective means 48 is provided with a diode 52 and a capacitor 54 connected in series each other. The cathode of the diode 52 is connected to the signal line 42, and the anode is connected to one end of the capacitor 54, and the other end of the capacitor 54 is grounded.</p> |
