<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disc drive which can be set almost vertically. SOLUTION: The optical disk drive comprises a tray 28 for transferring an optical disc between a first position for loading/unloading an optical disc 22, 22' and a second position for reading out information from an optical disc, and one or more disc clamp means 21 having a resilient member 24 for clamping the optical disc mounted on the tray removably at the outer circumferential part thereof. The disc clamp means holds the optical disc on the mounting face 29, 30 of tray at least during transfer of the optical disc and can unclamp the disc by imparting a vertical component of force with respect to the mounting face at first and second positions. According to the structure, the optical disc can be held on the mounting face of tray at least during transfer thereof and thereby the optical disc can be set vertically.</p> |
