PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate excitation of a shake correction mechanism at the time of actuating it and prevent any damage from being caused by its collision with other equipment by locking the actuation of a shake correction optical system in the case where the frequency of shake approaches to the resonance frequency of the shake correction mechanism decided by the mass of the shake correction optical system and the spring constant of an elastic body supporting the shake correction optical system. SOLUTION: A storage device 43 stores the resonance frequency of the shake correction mechanism decided by the mass of the shake correction optical system 6 and the spring constant of the elastic body supporting the optical system 6. In the case the frequency of the shake detected by a shake detecting device 41 approaches to the resonance frequency and in the case it is the resonance frequency, a controller 43 controls a lock device 47 so as to lock the actuation of the shake correction optical system. Furthermore, in the case the frequency of the shake is other than the stored frequency, the shake correction optical system is locked by judging that the frequency stored in the device 43 is the frequency capable of driving the shake correction optical system. |
