<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dry a polymerized toner in a small flowing rate while crushing toner aggregates by vibration by vibrating a fluidized layer in a specified direction to the horizontal plane to dry the toner. SOLUTION: A fluidized layer of a source material toner powder 8 is formed together with a gas in a drying room 4. The gas is finally discharged through a discharging port 6. In this process, the fluidized layer is vibrated in two directions which are twisted from each other at 10 to 80 deg. angle to the horizontal plane by two vibration motors 12, 12' so that the fluidized layer is rotated in the frying room while being dried. The toner particles supplied to the drying room 4 are brought into contact with the gas and crushed so that the particles form a fluidized layer floating in the drying room 4. Toner aggregates are crushed by vibration. The toner is dried while the fluidized layer is vibrated in the direction at 10 to 80 deg. angle to the horizontal plane, preferably 30 to 60 deg., and more preferably 40 to 50 deg. angle, and most preferably 45 deg..</p> |
