RECORD / REGENERATING METHOD OF DIGITAL VIDEOTAPE FOR TRICK PLAY AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method/device for recording/reproducing a digital video tape for trick play. SOLUTION: The recording method/device input an ATV signal and store normal data, extract intraframe data which can independently be decoded from the ATV signal, partially decode it, window it and record windowed intraframe data as trick play data on the digital video tape. Reproduction device/method reproduce normal/trick play data recorded in the digital video tape and selectively output trick play data which is extracted/formatted at the time of trick play reproduction and normal data extracted at the time of normal play reproduction to a decoding terminal. Various scanner can be used and high speed trick play can be executed at speed less than maximum 13-fold speed.
