PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material and method for forming image capable of forming an image high in density and small in fog and good is storage stability. SOLUTION: This image forming material contains a cobalt complex, an aromatic dialdehyde, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, and a polymerization initiator. The image forming material having a color developing layer containing a cobalt complex, aromatic dialdehyde, reducing agent, polymerizable compound, and a polymerization initiator, on a support is imagewise exposed to ultraviolet rays and heat developed at 60-130 deg.C to form an image in this image forming method. It is preferred that the image forming material has a protective layer on this color developing layer and also it contains a dye for absorbing infrared rays. |
