A programmable power supply includes data input means for receiving data about time, current and voltage and setting a step function which outputs the voltage data and current data while converts them for a predetermined period of time, control means for controlling the entire operation of a system according to the data received by the data input means and enabling PC communications using RS232C, a power supply for supplying the voltage data received by the data input means to a selected output channel under the control of the control means, and displaying means for displaying the data received by the data input means, the voltage data and current data outputted from the data input means.
