PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily start a device when supplying power by reducing the time for discrimination. SOLUTION: A discriminating operation is started when the power is supplied and a power source for a converter is turned off at a step (1). Next, a channel for discrimination is read out at a step (2). Then a receiving state is discriminated concerning not for all the channels but for only stored and specified channels. Consequently channels 11, 7 and 5, for example, are successively turned at a step (3). Then each receiving state is judged at a step (4). When there is no broadcast and the receiving state is normal (NO), the power source for the converter is turned on at a step (7) and the channels 11, 7 and 5 are successively turned again at a step (8). Then each receiving state is judged at a step (9) and when there is a broadcast and the receiving state is normal (YES), the power source for the converter is judged to be necessary at a step (10). |
