<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner not lowering image density, causing no fogging and giving a stable image even at a high temp. and humidity or a low temp. and humidity by using a styrene-acrylic copolymer crosslinked with a metal as a binder resin and using a specified electric charge controlling agent. SOLUTION: In this one-component toner contg. a binder resin, magnetic powder and an electric charge controlling agent, the binder resin is a styrene- acrylic copolymer crosslinked with a metal and the electric charge controlling agent is a polymer of diallyldialkyl-ammonium chloride. Since the crosslinked styrene-acrylic copolymer is used as the binder resin, the surfaces of the toner particles have tough characteristics, therefore the surface of the toner is not scraped, the amt. of fine powder is reduced and fogging is suppressed. Since the metal crosslinking bonds are liable to break by heating and the binder resin melts at a low temp., satisfactory low-temp. fixability is ensured. Since the electric charge controlling agent is also used, the lowering of image density at a high temp. and humidity and the increase of fog at a low temp. and humidity are not caused and a stable image is formed.</p> |
