PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furnace operation method using a rubber based industrial waste which is ideal for the pneumatic conveyance with a complete combustion while eliminating damage to a conveying pipeline and a furnace wall. SOLUTION: A rubber based waste such as waste tire is ground into pieces with a size of 0.1-20mm and the ground pieces are transported by a pneumatic conveyance into a second supply path 3 provided separately from a first supply path 2 for blowing a gas into a tuyere and then, into a high heat furnace together with the gas from the tuyere.
