PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce the cut part in a more natural form when character images read from a slip or the like overlap with a frame and a part is cut off by complementing a removed part based on the inclination and the width of the line segment of the character image in contact with the frame before. SOLUTION: A read part reads the character written on the slip or the like and a frame removal part 11 removes the frame on the read character images. Then, a complementing part 16 constituted of a character line complementing part 13, a loop shape judgement part 14 and a loop shape complementing part 15 complements a character line part removed since it is overlapped with the frame based on the inclination of the line segment in contact with the frame before and the width of the part in contact with the frame before for the character images from which a part of a loop part is removed since it is overlapped with the frame among the characters for which the frame is removed. Thus, a character loop part cut off at the time of removing the frame is complemented in the natural form and the character is accurately recognized and read. |
