PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesh for printing which has a decreased elongation and deformation rate of the mesh, lessens the collapse and deformation of the mesh even by ribbing with a squeegee at the time of printing, is free from projecting parts by adhesion of foreign matter and plating build-up including the foreign matter on the surface of the mesh and has excellent smoothness and high accuracy. SOLUTION: A metallic plating film 7 of nickel, etc., is fixed and formed on the surface of the screen mesh 1 formed by braiding metallic wires consisting of stainless steel, etc., by which braided parts are integrally formed. The surface of the metallic plating film 7 on at least the printing surface side is polished by a polishing means, such as a sandpaper, in the state of supporting the screen mesh with a cushion material from the rear surface side, thereby, the foreign matter, such as sludge and dust, exposed on the surface of the metallic plating film 7 is removed. The smoothness of the mesh is improved as well by polishing the projecting parts, such as plating build-up by the foreign matter. |
