PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field light emitting element having a good contrast. SOLUTION: A pixel part 26 has a first thin-film transistor(TFT) Q1 which is arranged at the intersected point of a data signal line Yj and a selection signal line Xi and turns on according to the voltage of the selection signal line Xi and a second thin-film transistor(TFT) Q2 which holds the data signal voltage supplied from the first TFT Q1 according to the on of the first TFT Q1 . The pixel part is so formed that the voltage impressed on the gate electrode 20C of the second TFT Q2 is held at a capacitor 21. The light emission of the pixel part 26 is, therefore, sustained until the selection signal line Xi is next selected. The contrast is thus exceedingly improved. |
