摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To originate photographic prints of stable quality using a liquid-crystal photographic printer. SOLUTION: Light is applied to a liquid-crystal panel on which an image is displayed by application of a driving voltage V0 , the amount E1 of the light transmitted is measured by a transmitted light amount sensor, and the amount E0 of light corresponding to the driving voltage V0 is obtained from a theoretical characteristic curve 140. On the characteristic curve 140, a voltage differenceΔV corresponding to the difference (E1 -E0 ) between the amounts of light is found, and the characteristic curve 140 is shifted by the voltage differenceΔV(subjected to parallel displacement to the right byΔV), so that a driving voltage-to-transmitted light amount characteristic curve 142 in an actual environment is obtained. Thereafter, the characteristic curve 142 is employed as a driving voltage-to-transmitted light amount characteristic. A reference for this correction is at a gradient level in the vicinity of the middle, so errors in the driving voltage-to-transmitted light amount characteristic can be reduced thoroughly in the ranges of both high- and low-gradient levels.
