PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the mental/physical burden of the correction operation on an operator to half and to shorten processing time. A pre-processing part 7 segments characters, and when a leading money amount numeral largely projects from a character frame and the size of other numeral characters the within the 90% of character frame height, defines the character as a reject character with a ¥ candidate. On the correction screen of a display 102, the eject character with the ¥candidate is displayed as ¥ by a character color different from the other characters. The operator looks at the slip or the like and just presses a confirmation key as it is when it is really ¥. |
