PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wired broadcast system with less load for a video server by providing a terminal equipment that analyzes the request of the user and displays a broadcast program or a message menu reserved in advance depending whether the request is a program being served or not so as to allow the user to easily select a desired program. SOLUTION: When a request of the user is given from a terminal equipment 110 to a remote control light receiving section 110 by a remote commander 111, a controller 107 analyzes the content of request and when the request is a program being served, a channel selection section 102 selects a designated channel and the program is displayed on a display section 105 via a switch 104 and a demodulator 103. When the request of the user is an unavailable program, the controller 107 allows an image generating section 106 to generate a proper message menu and displayed on the display section 105 via the switch 104 and the image generating section 106. Thus, the user easily selects a desired program and the wired broadcast system imposing less load on the video server is obtained. |
