PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a light amount to be loss in a reflection surface. SOLUTION: A panel light source device is provided with a transparent resin board, a fluorescent tube arranged in the vicinity of its side end face, a reflection surface 9 covering the fluorescent tube. The center P of the side face side of the semicircular cylindrical curved surface 12 portion of an arc-like cross sectional reflection surface 9 covering a cylindrical fluorescent tube 8 to be the light source of the panel light source device is positioned on a same plane closer to the end face 7 of the transparent resin board 1 than the center Q of the fluorescent tube 8.
