PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can prevent various defect phenomena when manufactured as a product and is high in the yield of manufacture processes and highly reliable by using a module constitution facilitating operation by providing an ultraviolet-ray cutting means which covers both the surfaces and liquid crystal of a liquid crystal element up to seal resin or over wide area. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element 7 is constituted by providing an electrode and an orientation film 4 after liquid crystal orientation processing on at least one transparent substrate 1 and hermetically holding spacers 5, liquid crystal 6, and seal resin 2 between plural transparent substrates, and both the sides of the liquid crystal element 7 is covered by installing an ultraviolet-ray cutting filter 10 or the base film or adhesive layer of a polarizing plate 19 provided with an ultraviolet-ray absorbing function up to the seal resin so that the sealed liquid crystal 6 is covered, or the end part of the polarizing plate, etc., is covered with a metallic frame, a support plate, and a buffer material as a member. |
