PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily lay an optical fiber cable in a tubular body by inserting and passing a lightweight and flexible string into and through the inside of a tubular body along with an air stream and then, drawing the front end of the string to insert and pass the optical fiber cable connected to the other end of the string into and through the inside of the tubular body. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a head 4 for transferring an optical fiber cable 1 and a string 2 into a tubular body 3 and also supplying air into the tubular body 3 by compressing it, a supply bobbin 6 and a wind-up bobbin 7. Air is supplied into the tubular body 3 with a compressor to form an air stream flowing in the traveling direction of the optical fiber cable 1 that is to be inserted into and passed through the inside of the tubular body 3. Before inserting and passing the optical fiber cable 1 into and through the inside of the tubular body 3, the lightweight and flexible string 2 is inserted into and passed through the inside of the tubular body 3 along with the air stream. By drawing the front end of the string 2, the optical fiber cable 1 connected to the other end of the string 2 is inserted into and passed through the inside of the tubular body 3. |
