<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the position of its own vehicle in file traveling and to accurately correspond to a file change such as separation. SOLUTION: In a case other than file traveling, a communication control ECU 22 allocates '1' as the ID of its own vehicle and a vehicle control ECU 16 executes automatic driving based upon signals from a magnetic sensor 10, a CCD camera 12, etc. At the time of file traveling, data including the ID is received from a preceding vehicle by a photodetector 14, the ID of its own vehicle is applied by 'its own vehicle ID = preceding vehicle ID + 1' and file traveling is executed by using traveling data obtained from the preceding vehicle. When the preceding vehicle is separated during the period of file traveling, separation data are received and transmitted to a succeeding vehicle, and if data from the preceding vehicle can not be received, the ID of the vehicle itself is returned to '1'. When the ID of its own vehicle is changed from '>3' to '1', its own vehicle is accelerated to form the file again.</p> |
