<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a measuring apparatus for distance and speed by including an abnormality detection function and a processing function. SOLUTION: An FM-CW radar 11 outputs a beat wave of a transmitted wave from an antenna 12 and reflected wave on an obstacle 115. The beat wave is fetched into a processing section 12 through an A/D converter 124 and undergoes a frequency analysis with a frequency analyzer 123 to search a frequency having a spectrum exceeding a specified threshold thereby calculating a relative speed and a distance to the obstacle. Moreover, the processing judges abnormality, for example, when an output of the A/D converter reaches the maximum or minimum value and when abnormality is determined, the speed and distance calculated previously are displayed as intact.</p> |
