<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively attain congestion control in accordance with the significance of a logical path. SOLUTION: Terminals 1a and 1b, the node 2 of a multiplex device, a physical line 3 with another node and the logical paths (PVC) 4a and 4b which are fixedly set between the terminals are provided. In the node 2, information showing a relation between the total length of a frame and a a congestion threshold corresponding to plural congestion levels is previously stored in a congestion threshold storage means 7. Priority degrees (n) on the logical paths 4a and 4b are previously stored in a priority degree storage means 8. A frame total length detection means 6 detects the real frame total length Lq of all the frames connected to a transmission waiting queue means 5 on a physical line 3 and a correction means 9 corrects the detected real frame total length Lq in accordance with the corresponding priority degrees (n) for the respective logical paths 4a and 4b, and calculates a corrected frame total length NLq and a congestion control means 10 abolishes the frame in accordance with the congestion thresholdαcorresponding to the correction frame total length NLq.</p> |
