SOLUTION: A RAM 8 where numerical formula data consisting of codes related to numerical formula symbol types, codes related to minor formulas, etc., is expanded, a pointing device 5 which designates the range of only numerical formula symbols including no minor formulas with respect to numerical symbols to which minor formulas which are inputted from a keyboard 4 and are displayed on a CRT 1 are added, a numerical formula symbol selection panel 53 provided with push buttons 54 for selection of new numerical formula symbols with which numerical formula symbols in the designated range should be substituted, and a CPU 6 which substitutes numerical formula symbols in the range designated by the pointing device 5 with new numerical formula symbols selected by push buttons 54 based on data expanded in the RAM 8 and adds minor formulas to new substituted numerical formula symbols as they are to display them on the CTR 1 are provided. |
