<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption and to improve operability in a host computer and a peripheral device provided with radio interfaces such as an infrared-ray interface. SOLUTION: A sensing means 101 checks the existence of a peripheral equipment having the same interface, and when an equipment having the same interface is not connected as the result of sensing, a power supply 103 in a body is turned off or the body is turned to a sleep state by a control means 102. The operation state of the sensed equipment is displayed on a display means 104 and a power supply OFF instruction or a sleeping instruction is transferred by a transfer means 105.</p> |
