A pulse type laser diode driving device includes a system power supply 1 for supplying power to the entire system, a controller 2 for controlling the entire operation of the system when the power is applied to the system from the system power supply 1, a low-current high voltage power supply 3 for boosting lower power voltage supplied from the system power supply 1 to drive a load, a capacitor 4 for charging the power supplied from the low-current high voltage power supply 3, a first switch 5 for selecting charging of the capacitor 4, a laser diode controller 7 for controlling turning on/off of a laser diode 6 under the control of the controller 2, and a second switch 8 for selecting a capacitor which will supply power to the laser diode 6 through the laser diode controller 7. |
