The fryer (1) has two compartments (2, 3), one (2) with a larger volume than the other (3). The compartments have separate electric heating elements (4, 5). The larger compartment has a volume of between 3 and 5 cubic decimetres, whilst the smaller compartment has a volume of 1 to 2 cubic decimetres. The compartments have separate control switches, watertight covers (8, 9) and drain taps (10, 11). The larger compartment is used for large quantities of vegetables and the small compartment is suitable for battered or floured items. |
