PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to clearly observe both pictures by dividing a display area into two areas and simultaneously displaying a map picture consisting of a road map and an attribute picture related to the map picture. SOLUTION: Road map data including the current position of a vehicle itself which is detected from a current position detection part 11 are displayed on a map area with the aspect ratio of 3:4 included in a display area 10 with the aspect ratio of 9:16, and when a destination is inputted by the operation of a destination input operation key, the shortest recommended route from the current position up to the destination is outputted and displayed on an attribute area other than the map area. An enlarged map near an intersection to be turned right or left on the route is displayed, and at the time of detecting the occurance of traffic congestion or regulation on the recommended route from traffic information received by a traffic information receiving part 26, information related to the traffic congestion or regulation is switchably displayed on the attribute area. When a destination is not inputted, an enlarged map near the current position of the vehicle itself is displayed, and at the time of detecting the occurance of traffic congestion or regulation ahead of the vehicle in the traveling direction from the received traffic information, the information related to the traffic congestion or regulation is switchably displayed. |
