PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the generation of uneven density of an image. SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body 20 is constituted of a metallic cylinder 23, an elastic layer 22 and a covering layer 21 applied around the elastic layer 22. The elastic layer 22 consists of NBR, and is constituted so that its volume resistivityρ1[Ωcm] and its layers thickness t1[mm] may satisfy conditions such as 1<=t1, 1×10<6> <=ρ1<=1×10<10> , log10ρ1<=-0.5t1+11.5, and log10ρ1>=-0.5t1+8.5.
