PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deterioration in a belt for carrying transfer paper and image carriers by quickly discharging ozone generated by transfer units to the outside. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a carrying belt 8 which is constituted in such a manner that an endless belt 11 inserted through between the image carriers 20 and the transfer units 25 is wound on plural carrying rollers 9 and 10 and carries the transfer paper to a fixing unit 7, a pair of side plates 19 for closing opening surfaces on both sides of the belt 11 are arranged to face each other and an opening 32 is formed in at least one of the side plates 19. Further, the ozone generated from the transfer units 25 in the interior space surrounded by the belt 11 is discharged outside through the discharge opening 32 by a discharge fan 33, so that the deterioration in the belt 11 and the image carriers 20 caused by the ozone can be restrained. |
