A vertical flange of metal supports the grating. The horizontal flanges (3, 4) rest on the horizontal edge of the gutter. At the free end of one of the horizontal flanges there is an angled section which bends in the opposite direction to the vertical flange (2). This extends into the gutter and forms a watertight moulding. The horizontal flange has a rib (11) extending underneath it close to the angled section (5). The edging is made of aluminium alloy. Each vertical gutter wall (7) has a sill supporting the edging (1). A watertight coating (13) covers the edge of the sill and extends to the vertical flange. Each section rests on a layer (8) of watertight material which extends along the vertical walls (7) and the base (6) of the gutter.
