<p>The invention relates to a method in a paper machine in connection with a moving element, such as cylinder, roll, felt, or wire, which is in contact with the paper web to be produced. The conditions are such that the moving element is exposed to substances in the paper web tending to adhere to the moving element and to impair its operation in the process of paper production. A composition is applied to the moving element, such as the central roll (1) in the press section, e.g. by a nozzle structure (4). This composition, such as flushing water, to which a possible releasing chemical has been added, comprises at least one enzyme selected in a way that it acts by a chemical process on at least one substance adhering from the paper web (6) to the moving element, such as the center roll (1). The purpose of the chemical process is to release and/or decompose said at least one adhering substance from the moving element, i.e. the center roll (1), to maintain and/or improve its reliability in the process of paper production.</p> |
